Sichuan Tengzhong To Buy Hummer

General Motors confirmed that they are in advance talks with the Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery regarding the acquisition of the whole Hummer business by the Chinese company. Tengzhong will buy the Hummer brand, including the company’s senior management and operational team. It will also acquire the existing dealer agreements.

The company plans to continuing to develop the Hummer portfolio with more fuel-efficient and alternative-fuel models, a move that could make the brand more relevant if gasoline prices continue to climb. Read more
